Countertenor John Lattimore read Music at St John's College, Cambridge where he was a choral scholar, and trained at the Royal Academy of Music and on English National Opera’s Operaworks programme.

Opera engagements include creating the principal role of The Son in Benjamin Tassie’s The Anatomy of Melancholy with Bodycorps; roles in The Fairy Queen for Bury Court Opera; Pastore L'Orfeo with the Salzburger Konzertgesellschaft/ Konstantin Hiller (in concert); Young Encolpius in Arne Gieshoff's Viagron at the Tête-à-Tête Festival; Spirit in Kettlehead by Darren Bloom for SizeZero Opera, soloist in Stockhausen’s Mittwoch aus Licht with Birmingham Opera, soloist in John Ramster's staging of Messiah with the Merry Opera Company and Athamas Semele with Hampstead Garden Opera.

Amongst his recent and forthcoming engagements are Nutrice L’Incoronazione di Poppea and Pisandro Il Ritorno d’Ulisse in Patria with the Academy of Ancient Music / Egarr and Andronico Tamerlano in concert with Forestbird Productions.
