helen anne gregory - mezzo soprano
British mezzo-soprano Helen Anne Gregory studied Music at Cardiff University and following a period as a sales and marketing executive returned to train at the Royal Northern College of Music with David Maxwell Anderson and Barbara Robotham. She now studies with Jane Irwin.
Helen Anne's opera engagements include Pi Pasek The Cunning Little Vixen for Garsington Opera; The Witch Hänsel und Gretel at West Green Opera Festival and Donna Elvira Don Giovanni and Azucena Il Trovatore with Opera Seria. Whilst at the Royal Northern College of Music she sang Mrs Grose Turn of the Screw, Stepmother Into the woods, Baroness Vanessa and Florence Pike Albert Herring. Her repertoire includes the title role Carmen, Grandmother Buryja Jenufa and Suzuki Madama Butterfly.
On the concert platform Helen Anne has performed Elgar The Musicmakers with Kington, Lytham and Bury Choral Societies; Angel The Dream of Gerontius with the St George's Singers, Vaughan Williams Sea Pictures with Bolton Chamber Orchestra and Wagner Wesendonk Lieder at the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester.
